You have downloaded Fabula, and now you want to play around with it. The best way to do this is to get your hands on some stories to read. They are available to download here. The stories are XML documents, laid out using CSS stylesheets. There are 24 Fabula tags/elements possible in an XML storybook. There is some JavaScript for good measure to make it do good things! There are various different features including:
- display of images
- playing of sounds
- playing an interective wordgame, guessing equivalent words in the 2 panels.
- wordlist (user-defined dictionary)
We recommend that you create your own stories using the Maker. Yet you may want to just install the Reader only. To test it out, download some pre-made stories.
